We have two schoolwide challenges that we do every year. Mechanimals is one we did during the 2019-20 school year and it’s definitely a keeper! For this challenge, each class works as ONE TEAM to create one animal that lights up, makes noise, and/or moves. We use a variety of different circuit components to make this happen!
All of our Schoolwide STEAM Challenges are shared/displayed at Family STEAM Night. This is a challenge we do once every six years. So students will participate in it when they are in Kindergarten and again in 5th grade. Next time we do this challenge I {potentially} plan on having each class make two Mechanimals.
