Every three years we bring out the bots for a round or two of BattleBOTS. Students select a bot to work with, outfit it with tools capable of popping balloons, and then engage in battle. Creativity, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration are still at the heart of this challenge!
Simple. Fun. Still learning.
I like to schedule this challenge right before a longer school break. We have a ring where the battle takes place. All other areas of the room are open for Basic Free Choice (last slide of presentation above) and/or robots who are not engaging in battle.
