Board Games Challenge

I’m so glad we did this challenge — it was a lot of fun. Each grade level, 4K-5 participates. We feature the board games during Family STEAM Night and invite attendees to try them out! There are a few steps to the project:

1 – Learn about the challenge.
2 – Research board games.
3 – Form teams and choose topic, primary colors, and a few other details.
4 – Brainstorm board game design and create a rough draft.
5 – Share out board game details using the Seesaw app.
6 – Create/engineer board game.
7 – Add circuit(s).
8 – Test board game.
9 – Type board game directions.
10 – Invite others to play.

This project took about six weeks to complete. We do this project once every six years, so when the time comes to do it again, I’ll try to get the project down to five weeks.
